Hadrian raised $1.37 billion to expand its network of highly automated manufacturing facilities focused on producing components for U.S. defense platforms. The round was led by investors including WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures and Baillie Gifford, valuing the company at approximately $7.87 billion.
Hadrian builds automated factories designed to mass-produce parts for existing military systems rather than develop weapons directly. Its fourth facility opened in Alabama in March and is focused on supporting submarine production through a public-private partnership valued at $2.4 billion. The company has now raised roughly $2 billion in total funding.
For defense manufacturers, Hadrian’s model offers a way to increase domestic production capacity and shorten supply chains through automation. The expansion reflects growing investment in resilient, high-volume manufacturing infrastructure for critical military components.
