Marathon Tours & Travel, a global leader in running travel experiences, has announced the launch of the Greek Odyssey Running Festival. This event takes place on November 14, 2026, in Costa Navarino on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese.
The Greek Odyssey Running Festival offers half-marathon and 10-kilometre distances as an ideal extension for runners participating in the Athens Marathon the previous weekend. The course traverses landscapes steeped in ancient mythology, including areas featured in Christopher Nolan's recently released film adaptation of The Odyssey, with runners passing by landmarks such as Methoni Castle and Voidokilia Beach.
The company offers two specialized travel packages based at the five-star Westin Resort Costa Navarino — a three-night option focused on the race weekend including a half-day tour of filming locations and a pre-race pasta dinner, and a five-night package designed specifically for Athens Marathon participants, which includes group transfers from Athens, three excursions including choices of castle tours, olive oil tastings, hiking, or a full-day trip to Ancient Olympia.
