The On LightSpray Cloudboom Strike 2 running shoes have been showcased by the athletic gear brand in Paris at its An Exercise in Lightness event ahead of their formal launch in July.
The shoe comes as the successor to the 2024 model and prioritizes a new cushioning system titled the CloudTec Sphere that's rated by the brand to help runners maintain their speed during long races. The cushioning technology achieves this by utilizing engineered cushioning channels that improve overall impact absorption, comfort and energy return. The sneakers utilize this cushioning along with the Helion HF super foam to deliver a reported 1.6% improving in running economy, according to testing at the University of Cape Town.
The On LightSpray Cloudboom Strike 2 running shoes embrace a seamless construction with no stitching, glue or laces in favor of a unified, one-piece profile.
