Xikipedia is a minimalist, open-source web project by developer Lyra Rebane that turns Simple Wikipedia into an endless, scrollable feed, featuring an algorithm that surfaces articles as you click. It was introduced as a proof-of-concept feed that mimics social timelines without accounts or cross-user data.
The interface starts with a fully random stream of Simple Wikipedia pages but lets users nudge the feed toward preferred subjects; the site adapts within a session by tracking clicked articles to suggest similar pages. There are no persistent accounts, no machine-learning profile sharing, and the algorithm resets on refresh to protect privacy.
For users, Xikipedia reframes idle scrolling as an exploratory learning experience, replacing rage-inducing content with varied encyclopedia entries. As a trend, it shows how low-data, curiosity-driven feeds can offer calmer, educational alternatives to mainstream social algorithms.
