The smartphone might have revolutionized connectivity but has also led to addiction and anxiety issues related to its ubiquitous use, so the Coilie has been developed as a simple yet effective way to manage usage.
The wall-mounted design of the smartphone accessory is inspired by the classic landline telephone and gives the device a dedicated spot to live when not in use. This prevents it from being constantly in the hand of the user or within reach to encourage more mindful usage. The coiled USB-C cable will provide power to the smartphone and also provide the tactile experience of being tethered to the wall, just like with a traditional landline.
